About
Seaside Christian Fellowship Center is a Fiji-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting the communities of western Fiji. With donor contributions, we address specific needs while sharing Christ’s love in places where His message is often new. Our mission extends to supporting outreach efforts by providing local contacts and facilities to aid God’s work, including educational, medical, dental, and ministry projects. Driven by both practical and spiritual support, we aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of families in Fiji.
We believe in the transformational power of Christian giving, where every donation has the potential to make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities, and to spread the love of Christ.
Our Mission
At Seaside Christian Fellowship Center, our mission is to support the local communities in western Fiji through targeted programs and initiatives while helping them embrace the love of God - all made possible by the generosity of donors. By meeting both the practical needs and sharing the gospel, we hope to be a bridge that connects families to the love of Jesus Christ.
Our work is focused in the Nadi area, a region that holds deep personal significance for Pushpa, who grew up there. This area is predominantly Hindu, and our hope is to bring the message of Christ to these communities by working alongside local churches and mission groups.

Our Vision
Our vision is to create lasting change by establishing a connection with churches and mission groups that can bring not only the gospel but also practical help to communities. By working in the greater Nadi area, where the population is predominantly Hindu, we hope to spread the love of Christ while fostering educational and spiritual growth.
Our Story

Fred & Pushpa
Danes
Almost 45 years ago, Fred and Pushpa’s paths crossed in Fiji. Fred, a Peace Corps volunteer at the Nadi Town Council Library, first noticed Pushpa at the International Airport, where she worked. A night at the Bula Festival solidified their bond, and on November 15, 1981, they began their life together as husband and wife.
They welcomed their first daughter, Jyoti, in Fiji before their journey took them to Seattle, Washington. As Fred’s career with the Army progressed they were sent to Virginia where their second daughter, Arti, was born. Finally, they were transferred to Georgia where their family was complete when their third daughter, Shanti, was born.
Over the years, Fred and Pushpa have become strongly rooted in their church and ministry work. They both became deeply involved in the Walk to Emmaus ministry and Pushpa went on to volunteer with the Kairos prison ministry program. They also share the love of deeper study through Bible Study Fellowship International. Now, as ordained ministers through The Missionary Church International, Fred and Pushpa are ready to fulfill their long-held dream of serving the Indo-Fijian community. They are committed to sharing both their love for Christ and their commitment to grow the local church and community in western Fiji.
